Update about the burned

Written 27.09.2012 13:24 under Archive

The latest news of the burnt family. We just came back from visiting the mother and daughter who got so badly burnt.

It will be 4 weeks this Friday, since the terrible accident happened.

It’s going the right way but takes a long time to heal. We spoke with the doctor who told us it would be a long process and stay at the hospital. They can manage to drink and eat with help, but can’t go to the toilet.

They still need your prayers. So thank you for this.

The mother has now been informed of the death of her little boy, and that he is with God in Heaven. This is of course very hard for her. She also remembers what happened, so she’s clear in the mind.

The girl has lost all her skin on her face as you can see on the photos.

The mother’s burns are situated from the navel and down and very bad.

I had a long conversation with the father Loriku about their little boy who died. I used an avocado as an example. I told him that the avocado is like our body. It withers and dies. But inside there’s a seed which will sprout and grow and the same happens to our soul inside our body. Jesus takes it home to heaven when we die and gives us a new body. The boy is happy without pains now and one day you’ll meet him again. Loriku understood then.

Loriku is as you know a masai and normally they don’t believe in God and Jesus. But ever since the terrible accident he’s changed. Yesterday, when we went to the hospital, Loriku came out from the prayer room, they have where he’d been praying. Just imagine this. How great is our God.

Dear all of you thank you so much for all you’ve been to this family and us. Thank you so much for your prayers and help.

May Jesus richly bless you for all your love and care.

Love

Tabitha and Torkild.

    [post_content] =>  Kære Venner,

Mirjam
