The Nicula’s have four children age 1½ up to 15 years. As we went to see them the three oldest children had been dismissed from school,
because the parents had been unable to pay school fees for the last 2½ years.
The financial situation was very serious and the mother had been trying to get her little Mirjam age 1½ years to move in with some family. In addition the mother is ill and does not have the energy to look after Mirjam. But no one wanted to take her and she is still with her parents.
This mother heard about us and asked the Lord to show her to our home. We were deeply moved as we listened to her. While she was talking she was weeping so heavily that we had to dry the floor when she had left.
Her story went that she had been working in a factory for 13 years, standing in cotton dust each day. This gave her a severe asthma and in addition a serious stomach ulcer.
The husband used to be a bricklayer, but had not been able to work for a couple of years as his feet swell a lot, the skin falls off with heavy bleedings. He can hardly walk due to severe pain and has to sit or lay.
We have sent both of the two to specialist where they are being treated at the moment. And we have paid the school fees necessary so the children are now back in school.
Fortunately, the couple built a house of their own while they working so they do not have to pay any rent. It is a disaster for the family that none of them get any help except for some occasional contributions from individuals.
Please pray with us for this family that they may recover soon and that the Lord Jesus may touch them in spirit, soul, and body.
