We went out in faith……..
We met Pudde and the children a year ago. They then lived in a simple hut with a floor made out of dirt and holes in the roof. All slept in one bed which was the quarter size of a normal bed.
Later on we managed to rent two rooms for them in a concrete building.
The fantastic news is that Pudde miraculously found a nice big plot for sale (600 sq. meters) with a house on it (70 sq. meters). The house is built in u-shape with three double rooms, one single, bath and toilet. There is roof, windows and doors already. The house just needs to be plastered and floors made before they can move in.
House and plot cost 65,000 Danish kroner (10,000 USD). Plots in Arusha have gone up. Before a plot that size cost 40,000 Danish kroner (7,000 USD), but without a house on it. It is located in a nice and green area close to the main road and transportations.
We had to decide fast on this buy, so within less than a week we made our decision. Unfortunately, we were not able to go and check it out, because if the seller knew that white people were involved, the price would go up. Instead we sent one of our workers who is in charge of our constructions.
There were other buyers interested, but when the owner heard Pudde’s story he decided that she should be the one.
The Bible says the ones who help the fatherless will be greatly blessed. This has been our experience many times.
We asked for about 11,000 USD and already received nearly 20,000. Praise the Lord for His faithfulness towards his children! The house is now ready to move into. We also bought a small piece of land located behind the house. Pudde wants to grow vegetables and maize, which is a very good idea. This way the can be self-sufficient.
All together we have spent a little over 20,000 dollars. We really feel that we have received a lot for that money and thank our Lord and you once again for standing with us in helping the needy.
When you receive this newsletter Pudde and the children will have moved into their new house. They are really looking forward to this. They will have a brand new house and a yard to play in. The girls now have a room of their own and so do the boys. This is very important since they are all getting older and it would no longer be suitable to sleep in the same room.
Two new children have been accepted by Pudde and added to the family.
Pudde is such an amazing woman. They have all been praying for this for a long time and have now received an answer to their prayers with the help from our Lord Jesus and you.

The father disappeared and they have had no contact with him for several years. Ruth is a bright girl in school. Her school decided to sponsor her schooling because they are really poor. For various reasons the school recently shut down and Ruth had to find another school.
The mother cannot afford to send Ruth to another school. Ruth’s grandfather is a Maasai and he wants to have her back in Maasai land. He does not want a girl to get eductaed, but instead follow the Maasai traditions for girls: to be married. Maasais think that only boys should get educated.
Ruth’s mother told me that Ruth’s grandfather had received an offer from an elderly, wealthy Maasai who wanted to pay a very large dowry in the form of many cows in order to marry Ruth. Ruth had been desperate because she wanted to stay in school, get her education and choose her husband when the time was ripe. For this reason the mother and Ruth came to our office asking for help.
We trusted God and sent Ruth to a good, Christian school where she is thriving.
We received a sponsor who will support her until Form 4 is completed. But Ruth wishes to continue for another two years and graduate from High School. If any of you would like to support Ruth for a few more years please write us or send a gift to our missions account. Please earmark it “Ruth”.
