Torkild and the team have had an outreach at a village called Mukoka, in mid Tanzania.
A middle-aged pastor by the name of Zintoo built a church at Mukoka with the support of Friedhelm (our German friend) and after 13 years of hard work he told God, “God, why did you send me to this village when nobody wants to receive the Gospel?”
When Zintoo was quiet he heard a voice saying, “Wait and see, there will be a revival among children and youth.”
Zintoo had invited us to come and have a children’s crusade during Week 3, 2014.
The opening of the crusade was quite tough as there was a lot of witchcraft at the village. But on Saturday night God broke down all the walls. After the presentation of “The Cross And The Switchblade” about 50 children and youth came forward and in tears they bowed their knees in the grass. They wanted to accept Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. What a beautiful and holy night.
Pastor Zintoo cried like a baby as this was the fulfilment of the promise he had received from God: “Wait and see, there will be a revival among children and youth.” All honour to Jesus.
Thank you so much for your prayers for us and for the ministry.
On their way home, Torkild and the team passed by a terrible accident near Singida, which happened a few hours before they arrived. It was a stationcar for seven persons, but 13 had been crowded in the car. It collided head on with a truck. All were killed. There was a father and a mother and their two children, a young 20-year-old man named David from Sanjaranda – all died. The bodies were totally crushed, all body parts had come apart.
This was between Singida and Sanjaranda, our Danish mission stations.
Torkild met with the pastor in Singida. He had been called to the hospital to see if he could point out anybody. He was in shock as he returned home because he had never seen anything like this. It was impossible to distinguish anybody.
Torkild said that only the wheels were left on the car that used to shuttle between Singida and Sanjaranda and Itigi.
The problem is that some of the dirt roads have become asphalted and therefore the cars go very fast and cannot estimate how long time to overtake.
When Torkild is away, I always pray for angels to surround him. It is possible to be involved in accidents.
Thank you for your faithful prayers.
Love
Tabitha and Torkild.
