During our leave in Denmark, we managed to pack 2 containers which were sponsored for our use in Tanzania by Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke, a Danish NGO organization.
The containers are simply wonderful as storage rooms. There’re impossible to break into. The NGO organization also pays for the transport from Denmark to Tanzania. This is a huge help for our development work among children.
At the moment we’re in the process of building a school, which starts at kinder garden to 7th grade. This way we can get all the material we need such as tables, blackboards, book shelves, computers and other things.
These things are all being provided by different sponsors in Denmark.
Through PULS, another development organization has the leader Elly Vesterager in Videbæk, found a private firm which has been willing to donate roof tiles, which is a huge economical help. They have also helped with new cup boards and tables for the school kitchen, as well as tables and chairs and other things.
The big dairy company Arla has donated lots of these as well.
We’re so lucky to have a good friend who’s an IT person, and he’s got us the computers.
From the mason company Enok Hansen in Brande, we have got scaffoldings and other construction materials.
We’ve also got a voluntary from Esbjerg, who collects used el sewing machines and fixes them and then sends them to where we have the relief storage in Blåhøj, where the containers are packed.
We like to thank you very much, sponsors as well as and all who have helped us, by donating all these wonderful things to make our project a success, which means so much to us. Now all we have to do, is to look forward to the arrival of the containers in September.
Also a big thanks to all you, who in your spare time helped us packing the containers. Without your help, we would not have been able to get it all done.
