Today august 6th its precisely 30 years since we left Denmark and went to Tanzania with our 3 children.
Oh, how time flies and where has it gone? It feels like no time when looking back.
Back then we thought that it would be a 5-year period to Work with children in Tanzania but after those 5 years had passed it turned out we started to know the language and the culture. So, we decided to continue with the Work and that has now become 30 years.
For us it has been a learning experience in many ways and it has not been without problems and battels during this time but yet we can look back at many fantastic and blessed years. We have experienced quite literally that in difficult times the Lord has given us new courage and energy to continue.
A quick look at our Work over the past 30 years.
We have been holding children’s campaigns as often as possible.
Dedicated 303 churches over the years (this is financed through our German friend Friedhelm). Besides that, we have built churches from the ground up so they were finished like in Arushas slum areas. Also in Dar Es Salaam with pastor Wilson where there are many muslims and with the Maasai people, just to mention a few.
We have built 2 complete schools (what is here called English medium) from kindergarten to class 7.
Also built an orphanage that houses 32 children and help to run 4 other orphanages.
At the same time, we have built houses for several of our coworkers. So far, its 11 houses.
It has been a great joy for us through the years to help so many poor and orphaned children get a good education. Currently we have 250 sponsor children getting help with their schooling.
During the past, few years we have distributed a lot of food relief esp in 3 areas among the maasai whom have thought with hunger due to long droughts.
All this fantastic Work has been possible because of your faithful support to our Work. It is so fantastic for us to see that God has given us people that stand with us to relieve the burden and give children a future.
We would like from the deb of our Hearts to say thank you so much for all your support through these years. Thank you because you made it possible for us to Work here and help where help is needed.
With all of this we would like to say a big Thank you to our Heavenly Father because he is so faithful and in all these years he has never let us Down or left us.
We will celebrate with a good lunch.

The father disappeared and they have had no contact with him for several years. Ruth is a bright girl in school. Her school decided to sponsor her schooling because they are really poor. For various reasons the school recently shut down and Ruth had to find another school.
The mother cannot afford to send Ruth to another school. Ruth’s grandfather is a Maasai and he wants to have her back in Maasai land. He does not want a girl to get eductaed, but instead follow the Maasai traditions for girls: to be married. Maasais think that only boys should get educated.
Ruth’s mother told me that Ruth’s grandfather had received an offer from an elderly, wealthy Maasai who wanted to pay a very large dowry in the form of many cows in order to marry Ruth. Ruth had been desperate because she wanted to stay in school, get her education and choose her husband when the time was ripe. For this reason the mother and Ruth came to our office asking for help.
We trusted God and sent Ruth to a good, Christian school where she is thriving.
We received a sponsor who will support her until Form 4 is completed. But Ruth wishes to continue for another two years and graduate from High School. If any of you would like to support Ruth for a few more years please write us or send a gift to our missions account. Please earmark it “Ruth”.
